ISU SBDC Open for Business

The McLean County Small Business Development Center (SBDC), headquartered at Illinois State University (ISU), has opened its doors to assist local entrepreneurs. SBDCs provide confidential business consultations, business plan assistance, analysis of business finances and marketing strategy advice as well as low cost seminars and training programs.

Jim Foley, Director of the International Trade Center and NAFTA Opportunity Center was selected as the 2005 "Trade Educator of the Year" during the North American Small Business International Trade Educators (NASBITE) Annual Meeting in New Orleans. This prestigious honor is presented to an individual who demonstrates innovation and quality in international trade curriculum development, research, program development, or advocacy of international business issues. Jim is a past president of NASBITE and is currently Chairman of the International Association of Trade Training Organizations (IATTO).

Dave Williams, International Trade Specialist, passed the NASBITE Certified Global Business Professional (CGBP) credentialing exam and earned the top score during the initial offering of the exam on March 20, 2005.
