Online and distance behavioral health has come of age. It’s never been more important for professionals to adopt best practices in order to ethically provide remote services. For some practitioners, remote delivery of services reaches clients who live long distances from their offices, who face scheduling challenges, or whose special needs limit their ability to travel. For other practitioners, online and distance behavioral health has become a sudden necessity because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
What The Program Covers
In this self-paced program, developed by two Bradley University Nursing Department assistant professors, you’ll journey through a fast-paced curriculum to develop and enhance your ability to provide virtual care in an efficient, effective, and ethical manner. Under the expert guidance of Bradley’s faculty, you’ll walk away with new tools and skills to help you navigate the today’s telehealth landscape.
Continuing Education Units
Upon successful completion of the program, learners will earn a digital certificate, digital badge, and electronic letter confirming continuing education hours. Bradley University is licensed by the State of Illinois to confer continuing education hours for LPC, LCPC, LSW, LMFT, LCP, RN, LPN, APN, PT, and PTA professionals, and has applied for a license to confer hours for Speech Pathologists and Occupational Therapists. Once the program has launched, the university will apply for a license to confer units from the National Board of Certified Counselors; this website will be updated accordingly. Please refer to your state code to verify if your state will accept continuing education hours licensed by the State of Illinois.
