Received her MFA in Graphic Design from the University of Minnesota Duluth, where she focused on game design, and her BFA in Pre-graduate studio arts and Art History from the University of Minnesota Duluth. Miranda is pursuing a doctorate in psychology with a focus on the aesthetic emotions evoked through the interaction with designed artifacts. Her research includes the themes of visual communication, semiotics, rhetoric, interaction, cognition, culture, persuasion, and emotions. She has presented her research nationally and internationally.

As a designer, Miranda has provided full scope of design services for numerous clients, ranging from art direction to web design to brand identity to motion graphics. Additionally, Miranda is a multimedia artist whose work examines themes of gender and violence. She has participated in juried, group, and solo exhibitions.
