Biography

Dr. Alzarrad is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Civil Engineering and Construction at Bradley University. Before assuming his current position, he was a Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) manager at Construction-CAD Solutions a professional engineering design firm that provides innovative solutions for the AEC industry. He previously worked as an Instructor of Record at the University of Alabama (UA) during his Ph.D. studies. Dr. Alzarrad is a recipient of several awards including The UA College of Engineering’s Outstanding Teaching Award for the year of 2017. His research interests include but not limited to Fuzzy Logic techniques and Intelligent Decision Support System (IDSS), Building Information Modeling (3D, 4D and 5D modelling), Machine Learning and Deep Learning applications in construction, 3D printing and automation in construction, sustainability and sustainable infrastructure.
