Biography

Dr. George Armitage (he/him/his) is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Assistant Professor at Bradley University. He serves as the Chapter Faculty Advisor for the Beta Phi Chapter of Chi Sigma Iota. Dr. Armitage is a first-generation college student that earned his PhD in Counselor Education from The University of Toledo and his MA in Counseling from Central Michigan University. He has been teaching counseling coursework since the fall of 2015, both face-to-face and online. His clinical experience is in college counseling, community mental health, and private practice settings. Dr. Armitage enjoys working with students in the classroom, in supervision, and through mentorship. In his free time, he enjoys travelling, cooking, and immersing himself in new experiences.
