Biography

Dr. Amanda Russell previously worked as the Clinical Operations Director at a local nonprofit counseling practice. Dr. Russell specializes in intimate partner relationship issues, family relationship issues, grief, anxiety, trauma, anger and aggression, substance use disorders, and depression. Dr. Russell has extensive experience conducting risk and needs assessments, counseling individuals and families dealing with a vast array of treatment concerns, and facilitating treatment programming for men who have committed intimate partner violence. Dr. Russell is also a Rule 31 listed mediator specially training in domestic violence issues. She obtained her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision in 2020 in hopes that this would further her ability to influence positive changes in the way that Intimate Partner Violence is addressed in her community. In her free time, she enjoys taking walks with her chihuahua/rat terrier mix Marlow, reading, doing hot yoga, and exploring new restaurants with her friends and family.
