Kerry Walters is Associate Professor of Music at Bradley University where she teaches Voice, Diction, Vocal Literature and Pedagogy, K-8 Music Methods, and directs the Opera Workshop and Women's Choir. Her concert work includes solo recitals as well as oratorio in such cities as Atlanta, New York, Fredonia, NY, Portland, OR, and Lafayette, LA. Early in her university teaching career Dr. Walters was selected to be a National Association of Teachers of Singing Young Teacher Intern and is past president of the Central Illinois chapter of NATS. Dr. Walters also served as a faculty artist and chair of the voice faculty of the Lutheran Summer Music Academy & Festival for several summers. In her years at Bradley, Dr. Walters has guided her many students to careers as successful performers, music educators and music business professionals. She holds the Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Oregon, the Master of Arts in Teaching from Portland State University in Portland, Oregon, and the Doctor of Musical Arts from the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.
