Prior to joining the faculty at Bradley University as an Assistant Professor in Residence of music theory and composition, Dr. Lynnsey Lambrecht taught music theory at Western Michigan University. Dr. Lambrecht graduated from Michigan State University with a Doctor of Musical Arts in composition and a Master of Music in theory pedagogy. She also earned a Master of Music in theory and composition from the University of Northern Colorado, and she graduated summa cum laude from Colorado Mesa University with a Bachelor of Arts in music education. 

Dr. Lambrecht has presented her research at international, regional, and state music conferences. Her compositions and arrangements have been performed throughout the United States, Canada, and Great Britain and are published by Grand Mesa Music Publishers, Eighth Note Publications, and Blue Note Music Press. Dr. Lambrecht has studied composition with Dr. Ricardo Lorenz, Dr. Charles Ruggiero, Dr. Paul Elwood, and Dr. Darin Kamstra. In addition to composing and teaching, her interests reside in post-tonal theory pedagogy, 20thand 21st-century analysis, and learning about the best practices for music theory tutoring.
