Open to all Bradley Students

The Musicians in Business group is not limited to only Music Business Majors. All students who have an interest are encouraged to be actively involved in this student run organization. Over the past 108 years, NAMM (the National Association of Music Merchants) has proudly represented the industry that brings the gift of music into people's lives. NAMM is the not-for-profit trade association that unifies, leads and strengthens the $17 billion global musical instruments and products industry. NAMM's trade shows, activities and programs are designed to promote music making to people of all ages. What started in May of 1901 as a small, grassroots organization of 52 founding Members has since blossomed into an international association representing more than 9,000 retailers, manufacturers, distributors and reps of musical instruments and products from more than 85 countries.

Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia

Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia is a non-hazing fraternity providing men with a love of music an opportunity to share their musical interests in a fraternal environment. The Delta Nu Chapter of Sinfonia at Bradley has been providing students unique musical and leadership opportunities while emphasizing personal and musical growth since its charter in 1948. The Delta Nu Chapter actively sponsors concerts and promotes other musical activities of the university, its student body, and the surrounding area. There are currently 14 active members. For more info, see the Delta Nu Chapter website.

With more than 85,000 members worldwide, MENC: The National Association for Music Education is the largest association dedicated exclusively to the advancement of music education. Through its many programs, activities, publications, and conferences, MENC works to promote the value of music education, foster the best possible music education programs in our nations schools, and advance music education as a profession. All music education students at Bradley are encouraged to join MENC. This membership enables access to the state music convention which is held each January in Peoria. Additionally, members receive Music Educators Journal and Teaching Music. Memberships are available in the fall and are good for one year. For more info or contact the faculty advisor, Dr. Dave Vroman.

Sigma Alpha Iota

Sigma Alpha Iota is a professional music fraternity for women. It functions in similar ways to a social sorority in that its participants have rush, rituals, and chapter meetings. However, it's different because the members have a bond through music, and most, if not all, of what they do concerns music. The Beta Gamma Chapter at Bradley participates in numerous recitals, fundraisers, and other campus activities throughout the year including some that are in conjunction with Phi Mu Alpha. For more information, see the Beta Gamma Chapter website.
