The Breathing Room

The Breathing Room is located in room 103 of the Cullom-Davis Library. It is a space for mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness - a place to "take a breath."

Guidelines for use

  • The space is available on a first-come, first-served basis
  • To use, ask for the key from check out desk (have your Bradley ID ready)
  • Use for up to 30 minutes at a time
  • Single occupancy
  • Use the white noise machine, observe silence, and/or use headphones
  • Return the room to its original condition after use
  • For Bradley students, faculty, and staff only
  • Space should only be used for intended purposes

Do not

  • use open flames or incense
  • study
  • sleep
  • consume food and beverages
  • remove equipment from the room

The Room Contains

  • Small table and standard chair
  • Mindfulness/meditation chair
  • Salt lamp
  • Fairy lights
  • White noise machine
  • Bubble wall
  • Zen garden
  • Kinetic sand

Acoustic tiles have been added to the walls to dampen sounds. Additionally, the window has been partially frosted to give more privacy and block out distractions.
