Bradley Application Periods

Bradley University offers three admission periods for first-year fall applications. All application periods are Rolling Admission. Applications are reviewed as they are completed, and admission decisions are made throughout each admission period.

Best consideration for admission and scholarships is provided during the Early Action period. For students looking at programs in Nursing, Game Design and Animation, it is strongly encouraged that the application is completed during the Early Action application period.

• July 1: Bradley Application opens
• August 1: Common Application opens
• September 10: Early Action admission decisions announced on a rolling basis
• November 1: Early Action Deadline
• November 2: Regular Admission begins
• December: Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) becomes available
• February 1: Regular Admission Deadline
• February 2: Extended Admission continues as space and scholarships are available
• May 1: Enrollment Reply Deadline

Early Action benefits include full academic scholarship consideration and first opportunities to begin signing up for housing and orientation. Early Action at Bradley University is non-binding.

Admission Requirements

Admission is based on a review of each student’s comprehensive academic and extracurricular record to predict their likelihood to be successful at Bradley. In determining an applicant’s qualifications, the following criteria are used:

• Completed Application
• High School Transcript. Students may submit either an unofficial or official transcript for consideration for admission. If an official copy of the transcript is not provided at the time of application, an official copy must be sent prior to enrollment.
• One or two-page personal statement or essay. Be sure to include your full name on each page.
• For non-U.S. citizens who will not earn a U.S. high school diploma, scores from one of these standardized tests are required for proof of English language proficiency: TOEFL, IELTS, E3PT, PTE Academic, ACT or SAT.

Optional

One letter of recommendation may be valuable for some students. Students may elect to include a letter from a teacher, school counselor, coach, or school activity advisor. No specific form is required.

Entrance Examinations

Bradley University is test-free for applicants to the freshman class who graduate from a high school accredited in the United States within the year prior to enrollment at Bradley.

Non-U.S. citizens may submit an ACT or SAT score which will only be used to determine English language proficiency, and will not be used for any other admission decisions. If a student wishes to include standardized test scores, the student must request that they be forwarded to the Office of Undergraduate Admission from the testing service or request that their high school send a transcript with the official scores reported.
