Quick Facts
Your first courses in your Management degree lay the foundation for your continued success.  You’ll learn the language of management, and become literate in the perspectives and processes that shape the field today.

The Senior Consulting Project is the capstone project for all business majors and provides you with an opportunity to apply the skills you developed during your coursework in the Foster College of Business in a real business setting.

Our curriculum focuses on the transferrable skills needed to prepare you for success and advancement in industry, government, and not-for-profit settings.

In addition to teaching, many instructors consult and are involved in business development.  Their expertise includes growth strategies, quality management, employee turnover, executive development and influence behaviors in the workplace.

Engage Business and Society
As a Management major, you will learn about getting things done through people.

Opportunity to Innovate
The Management major offers the analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills needed to meet the challenges of management in commercial and non-profit organizations.  Business students apply theories learned in the classroom through assignments and projects that emphasize interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.

You will enjoy many co-curricular and cooperative learning experiences including the Society for the Advancement of Management (SAM), Phi Chi Theta – a business and economics fraternity, the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), and Women in Business (WIB).  Students also work closely with faculty on research and other projects.
