The women of the Theta Epsilon Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated celebrated 50 years of service to Bradley University and the Peoria community last month!

Before being nationally recognized as a chapter, the women of Theta Epsilon existed as a community service group on campus known as Nu Delta. Nu Delta consisted of 19 young, vivacious women who desired to differentiate themselves from existing sororities on campus, despite receiving skepticism from campus faculty. Their efforts to make a commitment to community service and positively impact the campus and the Peoria community were recognized by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated and the Theta Epsilon Chapter was chartered on the campus of Bradley University on February 13, 1971.

Since being chartered, the chapter has initiated over 200 women into the Sorority and obtained numerous awards including winning the Bradley University Service Award for over a decade and most recently winning the Social Media Buzz Award.
