Art history students conducted research for a statewide project documenting the lives and work of Illinois women artists, active 1840-1940. Working with Channy Lyons, head of the Illinois Women Artists project, Prof. Sarah Glover and students began uncovering the lost histories of these local artists. The students’ work, along with those of other Illinois undergraduate and graduate students, was presented at the Illinois Women Artists Symposium held at Illinois State University in the Spring of 2009. Sara Kelly, BA ’09, was among those giving papers.
