The Advisory Council for the College of Education and Health Sciences met Monday, December 6. The Council is a group of Bradley alumni and local professionals that offers advice and assistance with EHS programs and policy, alumni relations, and new developments in the professional world. With an eye to the future, the council ensures EHS is keeping up with new technologies and professional methods in the various fields of EHS.
Council members received updates and news from faculty in the college’s five departments. Family and Consumer Science Chair Dr. Nina Collins shared information about the new dietetics internship and hospitality leadership major. The meeting was followed by a tour of Bradley’s newest superstructure, the Renaissance Coliseum, which was completed in August.
The Council meets once per semester to hear updates on new policies and programs in the college and its members remain in contact with EHS faculty throughout the year. Members include a justice of the Illinois Appellate Court, a physical therapist, professional counselors, Red Cross administrators, a nurse executive, and teachers and school district superintendents.
