Flute, Strings, Harp, and Piano: An Afternoon of Chamber Music Sunday, September 20th

Flutist Kyle Dzapo will be joined by violinist Marcia Henry Liebenow, violist Kate Lewis, cellist Carol Wessler, harpist Linda Warren, and pianists Molly Sloter and John Orfe to open the 2009-2010 Bradley University Music Scholarship Concert Series. “Flute, Strings, Harp, and Piano: An Afternoon of Chamber Music” will be presented on Sunday, September 20th, at 3:00 p.m. at Dingeldine Music Center, 1417 W Barker Avenue, on the Bradley University campus. The program opens with a quartet by Mozart and continues with works by Joachim Andersen and the premiere of Romance, a new composition by Bradley professor John Orfe. Linda Warren will be featured in two solo harp pieces and will collaborate on Debussy’s masterful late composition, Sonata for Flute, Viola, and Harp.
The 2009-2010 Series continues with “An afternoon of Jazz” on October 18th, Bradley Symphonic Band and Symphonic Winds on November 15th, Bradley Chorale and Chamber Singers on December 6th, the Concordia String Trio with Marcia Henry Liebenow on February 7th, the Bradley Symphony Orchestra Concerto Aria Winners Performance on March 7th, the Bradley Community Chorus on April 11th and “Classics to Jazz with Edward and Janet Kaizer” on May 2nd.
