Greek Housing Resident Update

Bradley University has just announced its decision to continue online learning through the end of the semester. University events will not be permitted and all residential students are being instructed to return to their permanent residences.

I encourage you to work together with your housing corporation and inter/national organization to swiftly establish times and guidelines for chapter house residents to move out for the remainder of the semester. I urge you to follow Bradley University’s decision and to close your chapter facility.  If you opt to keep your chapter house open, I also urge you to limit it to only those students with extenuating circumstances who absolutely need shelter at the chapter facility.

If you have students with extenuating circumstances and they plan to stay in your chapter house they must complete the registration process at https://apply.bradley.edu/register/sp20breakhousing by 1p.m. on Friday, March 20. If they have previously registered with the university to stay in your chapter house and plan on staying, they do not need to register again. Please note: we may ask your members to relocate to a different location.

I also ask that Housing Corporation Board Presidents, or their designee, complete a registration form by Monday March 23, 2020 at 5 p.m. to update us on the status of your house and the names and contact information for students needing to stay. Please know this was a difficult, but important, decision made to protect the health and safety of our students, faculty and staff during this unprecedented time. We are saddened to see our students leave prior to the end of the semester, but look forward to those who are returning to campus in the fall. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
