Beginning Fall, 2009, Assistant Professor of Interactive Media Monica McGill will teach a new course, Interactive Media 115: Introduction to Interactive Media Development. The course will introduce students to the various aspects in the interactive digital media (text, image, and sound) development life-cycle, including design, implementation, usability, interactivity, and testing.
The course features work with personal robots that students use to learn introductory scripting coupled with basic elements of interactive narrative using the Python language. The robots are Scribbler robots with a fluke add-on board (dongle).
