The welfare and safety of our Bradley family during this time is our primary concern.

The welfare and safety of our Bradley family during this time is our primary concern. We are writing to inform you of a recent development relating to COVID-19.

We have received word that a Bradley student who was participating in the Semester Abroad Program has tested positive for COVID-19. This student was NOT on campus this semester and has been in self-isolation since returning from abroad. Reports are the student is doing well and their symptoms are improving. We are so grateful for that and wish them continued health. We ask that you respect the privacy of this individual.

We encourage all of you to continue to follow your local and state mandates around travel, work and leaving your home.  Continue to follow the CDC recommendations around caring for your personal health. Those who develop a cough, fever, and difficulty breathing, should call their primary care provider for further instructions. Employees enrolled in a Bradley-sponsored health plan can use the Virtual Visit option.  All students may still utilize Bradley’s Health Services by calling (309) 677-2700 during regular business hours or (309) 677-3200 after hours.

Several weeks ago, the Peoria City-County Health Department shared the attached document regarding how Public Health disease specialists conduct investigations and contact tracing for positive or suspect cases of COVID-19.

Resources are available to support those of you who may be experiencing anxiety or have other mental health concerns which are so common in these times.  Bradley provides assistance to full-time faculty and staff employees and eligible dependents through its Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Call 1-888-293-6948 (24 hours a day, 365 days a year). The EAP provides confidential, short-term counseling at no cost to the employee. Students can utilize Bradley’s counseling services through a virtual environment.  If you previously had an appointment scheduled, counseling services will reach out to you directly.  If you are wanting to schedule a new appointment please call (309) 677-2700.

It continues to be a time to be attentive, flexible, and engaged regarding the steps we need to take as a community to care for ourselves and for one another. Be sure to continue to monitor your emails and check our website often for updates and important information regarding COVID-19.
