Teaching both physical therapy students at Bradley and third-year medical students at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Peoria, Dr. Steven Tippett has reached a lot of students.
All of his hard work was appreciated when the U of I campus recognized him for a teaching excellence award, as a U of I College of Medicine at Peoria Associate Faculty Member of the Year.
As an adjunct professor for the college, Tippett teaches roughly four times a year on musculoskeletal evaluation.
The recognition doesn’t just come from other faculty members, but students, too, get to vote. To earn the award, students and professors within the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the college voted.
While there isn’t any monetary gift with the award, Dr. Tippett sees the recognition as prize enough.
