Your Internship and COVID-19

The Bradley University Smith Career Center and Springer Center for Internships remain committed to your professional development and values the internship/experiential learning in which you are currently engaged.

In support of the communication sent on Wednesday, March 18 by President Roberts, we strongly recommend that students in on-campus residences return to their permanent residences in an effort to follow the Centers for Disease Control social-distancing guidance.

We recognize that hardships regarding leaving your internship might arise; please communicate with your internship supervisor(s) and follow the COVID-19 protocols established by your employer regarding safety precautions and work stoppages.

When communicating with your internship supervisor, ask about options to work remotely in order to fulfill your credit hour requirement (if needed). If you have concerns about safety precautions, arrangements, or conditions, please contact your Career Advisor to discuss those concerns. If you need to leave your internship, please note that decisions regarding pass/fail and credit hours will be handled on a case-by-case basis. We will work with you to make sure you can complete this internship.
