College of Liberal Arts and Sciences – Tenure-Track Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Information Systems

The Department of Computer Science and Information Systems (CS&IS) at Bradley University invites applications for a tenure track assistant professor to begin in August 2021. 

The Assistant Professor position requires a PhD in Computer Science or a closely related field; candidates working on their dissertation with expected graduation date before August of 2021 will be considered.  Candidates with research interests in computer science or computer information systems will be considered; candidates with an interest in software/Web/information security, or distributed computing, or computer game design and development, or data science, or quantum computing will be given preference.  The successful candidate is expected to develop into an outstanding teacher, establish and maintain a productive and rigorous research program, actively seek funding for research, involve students in his or her research activities, and participate in service. The teaching load is three courses per semester.  Some teaching experience is preferred. 

Initial screening will begin on March 1, 2021 and will continue until the position is filled.

The department currently consists of 12 tenured/tenure track faculty members. There are BS and MS degree programs in both Computer Science and Computer Information Systems with multiple concentrations.
