College of Liberal Arts and Sciences - Visiting Assistant Professor of Physics

The Department of Physics at Bradley University invites applications for a full-time, one-year temporary Visiting Assistant Professor position to begin August 19, 2019, with the possibility of renewal beyond the one-year term. 

Candidates must have a MS or PhD preferred in Physics or a related discipline and must demonstrate genuine interest in undergraduate education. The department encourages applications from candidates who could engage students in laboratory and who also have an interest in interactive teaching methods. We seek a conscientious teacher and a practicing physicist who will thrive in a four-year, liberal arts institution where close contact and collaboration with students are the norm.

Candidates must submit (1) a letter of application, (2) a Curriculum Vitae, and (3) a statement of teaching philosophy and experience. In addition, candidates should arrange for three letters of recommendation. Information regarding how the candidate has or can contribute to diversity in teaching, research, or service should be provided within the teaching statement or in a stand-alone diversity statement.
