Caterpillar College of Engineering and Technology – Engineering Executive in Residence

Bradley University is accepting applications from candidates with extensive experience in the practice of engineering and executive leadership in corporate America. Entrepreneurial experience is highly desired. The individual will engage students and faculty to advance the educational collaboration between the College of Engineering and Business. Responsibilities for this individual will include participating in courses on innovation and collaboration, developing a seminar series that brings innovative executives to campus, cultivating collaborative and multi-disciplinary capstone projects from industry, mentoring entrepreneurial student organizations, and facilitating experiential learning through integrated business and engineering project teams. This position will report to the Dean of Engineering and Technology and will be a three-year, non-tenured renewable position.

Required qualifications:

  • A degree in engineering or related field
  • Significant experience working in industry
  • Experience in senior management

Additional preferred qualifications:

  • An MBA
  • Managerial experience as a corporate executive
  • Experience with new product development
  • Experience teaching university level courses
  • Experience with college advisory boards
