Appointment           Full-time; 37.5 hours per week

Pay Rate                  $12.25 per hour

Open/Close Date    Wednesday, June 19, 2019 – Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at 4pm

Application Hours  Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, 1-4 pm; Thursday and Friday, 9-11 am

 

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide administrative support primarily for Executive Director, Alumni Relations, and Associate Director, Alumni Relations.  Maintain significant contact with campus offices, University administrators; coordinate meetings; manage directors’ calendars and telephone communications; arrange travel; work with confidential files/records; create and run reports and labels; compose correspondence; coordinate and attend departmental programs/events.  Create and maintain budget and expenditure information; update and maintain computerized information and records; maintain inventory of office supplies and equipment; perform other related duties as assigned.  

In order to meet the needs of the University, the University retains the right to assign duties and requirements to employees as well as determine and change starting times, quitting times and shifts.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Three years office/business or related experience preferred that demonstrates: ability to work independently and effectively in a high energy office; flexibility to staff occasional events after normal working hours; exhibit sound/accurate judgment; set priorities;  exceptional organization skills; strong, positive work ethic; excellent communication skills to work and interact with a variety of internal and external constituents; maintain confidential information/records; contribute to a positive team spirit; effectively communicate in written, telephone and personal communications; deal with periodic timetable changes; compose correspondence; create and run computerized reports; prepare departmental and annual reports; proficient in use of Internet, word processing, data entry, spreadsheet, PowerPoint and database manipulation; editing and proofreading skills; mathematical and analytical reasoning skills; handle details and multi-step processes; manage/coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and on deadline.

MENTAL/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Selected candidate must have the mental and physical capabilities to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.  Valid driver’s license required and ability to lift and carry light loads to/from activities. Work is performed in a normal office environment with little exposure to outdoor temperatures or dirt and dust.  Working conditions are typically moderately quiet.
