Athletics - Director of Braves Club Membership

Bradley Athletics invites applications for the position of Director of Braves Club Membership & Events.

The Director of Braves Club Membership & Events will be responsible for the management and growth of the Braves Club and giving levels, as well as leading the efforts to achieve the annual revenue goals. This includes, designing, planning, and executing fundraising strategies to recruit, renew, and upgrade donors who support Bradley Athletics. The Director will lead the planning of donor engagement and solicitation events in partnership with the Bradley Athletic Department Senior Staff and Braves Club Board of Directors. Events include but not limited to: Annual Braves Club and Chicagoland Golf Outings, Annual Bids for the Braves Auction, Annual Braves Club Raffle, other Varsity Athletic competitions, and regional events for engagement and stewardship.

This position will report directly to the Deputy Director of Athletics and will work closely with the Assistant Athletic Director for Ticket Sales & Operations. The Director will ensure that the Braves Club operates within Athletics Department policies and guidelines.

Duties and Responsibilities: Create, plan, manage, and execute all cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship efforts for the Braves Club. This position is responsible for designing and executing membership renewal and upgrade strategies. Further, this position is charged with planning and implementing recognition events for members. The Director is the “public face” and spokesperson to Braves Club Members. All Athletics Annual Giving activities require collaboration and coordination with the Athletic Department and University Advancement. The Director of Braves Club Membership & Events develops and executes creative new approaches for recruitment for Athletics Annual Giving. He/she takes a leadership role in managing and expanding existing direct mail solicitation and other gift efforts, develops and evaluates all direct mail, phone, and e-solicitations for all athletic annual giving programs, creates and manages all printed and web-based marketing materials with the assistance of Athletics Marketing and Communications staff, drafts and oversees all athletic annual giving direct mail solicitations as well as develops specific offerings based on constituent interest, identify and develop Braves Club donors for cultivation through local and regional development opportunities. The Director develops and updates all marketing collateral for use with potential Braves Club donors and serves in a collaborative role with the Ticket Office, the Varsity Club, Athletics Marketing, Alumni Relations and other areas of the University.

A Bachelor’s degree is required. Additional qualifications include 2-3 years of fundraising or event experience. Preferred qualifications of Higher Education fundraising experience and/or leadership experience, or sales leadership experience, knowledge with coordinating a Board of Directors and capabilities of leading teams of student workers and volunteers would be ideal. The successful candidate must be able to work irregular hours and weekends.  They must also be willing to uphold the mission and values of Bradley Athletics and adhere to NCAA, Missouri Valley Conference and University rules and policies.
