BUPD Teams up with Chiefs for Gold Baseball Program

July 19, 2017

The Bradley University Police Department is proud to again partner with the Peoria Chiefs to highlight youngsters in Central Illinois who are doing good deeds. The BUPD along with several other agencies and organizations will hand out gold plated Pete Vonachen baseballs over the next few weeks, to kids who are showing good behavior and following the law. The recipients can redeem their ball for two free tickets to the August 1st Chiefs' game.

BUPD Chief Brian Joschko says the program was very successful the past few years and it is a great way for officers to get to know young people in the campus area. "We are able to meet the families in our area, strengthen our relationships with them and show these kids that there is a benefit to staying on the right side of the law."

This is the 4th year Bradley has participated in the program.
