Prayers of Light Concert

November 12, 2018

The Bradley Community Chorus and Symphony Orchestra will present their “Prayers of Light” concert on Sunday, November 18 at 4 p.m. at St. Mary’s Cathedral, located at 607 N.E. Madison Avenue in Peoria, IL. Tickets are $10 for the general public and $5 for students.

The groups will perform two works that may differ in era and style, but that parallel each other in extraordinary ways: Mozart’s Vesperae Solennes de Confessore and Morten Lauridsen’s Lux Aeterna.

Featured soloists are Kerry Walters, soprano, of the Bradley University Music Department; Rebecca Crumrine, mezzo-soprano and Bradley University Alum; Eric Ashcraft, tenor and Bradley University Alum; and Saul Nache, baritone, who teaches at Bradley, Illinois Wesleyan Universities and Augustana College. Dr. Timothy Semanik, director of the Bradley Symphony Orchestra, and Dr. Cory Ganschow, Director of Choral Activities at Bradley, will conduct.
