Music Scholarship Concert Series Announced

The 2015-16 Music Scholarship Concert Series at Bradley University will begin with a kaleidoscopic display of musical excellence called “Bradley Showcase” on Sunday, September 20, at 3 p.m. in Dingeldine Music Center, located at 1417 W. Barker Avenue.

Dr. John Orfe has assembled an all-star cast of Bradley faculty, alumni, and students in a program that will feature outstanding selections for piano four-hands, jazz quintet, chamber choir, art song, guitar ensemble, string quartet, saxophone quartet and brass ensemble. Drs. John Jost, Kyle Dzapo, Todd Kelly, Stephen Heinemann, Alison Robuck and Chee Hyeon Choi join Marcia Henry Liebenow, Michael Hull, Presser Scholar Clara Capriotti, the Hilltop String Quartet, the Illinois Saxophone Quartet and more in music by an array of composers ranging from cherished favorites to delightful discoveries.

The Music Scholarship Concert Series has been providing support for student music scholarships at Bradley for many years. A series subscription offers considerable savings over the individual ticket price. Admission is $10 for adults but all eight concerts can be purchased for $50. Students are admitted free of charge with ID.

Tickets for all eight Music Scholarship Concert Series performances are available from the Cultural Events Box Office in the Hartmann Center. Call 309-677-2650 to purchase the series subscription. Individual tickets will be available at the door.
