International Leaders in Construction & Transportation Descend upon Peoria

Visionaries from around the world are set to meet in Peoria April 9-11 to network and present their latest findings at the Innovations in Construction, Asphalt and Transporation (ICAT) Conference. Leaders from Egypt, Denmark, UK, Canada, Scotland, Chicago and Peoria will be participating. The theme of this year's conference is Sustainable Funding of Infrastructure for Illinois.

There are 20 VIP events taking place throughout the conference as well. This includes the Women In Business Summit, the Gateway Youth Program, the VIP Minority Students - Sustainability Grants, the Executive Summit, and more. Additionally, three awards will be given at this year's conference: The Ed Rapp Award, The Sustainability Award, and The Sawyer Diversity Award.

Since its founding in 1987, the mission of the ICAT Conference is to develop a network of business executives, policymakers and scholars from around the globe and to provide a positive environment for candid discourse needed to build a better America. Dr. Amir Al-Khafaji, Civil Engineering & Construction Professor at Bradley University, is the conference founder and chairman. This is the 31st ICAT conference.
