Nursing Program Ranks Among Top 6% in Region

May 20, 2016

Bradley University's nursing program is ranked in the top 6% of schools in the region according to Nursing Schools Almanac.  The inaugural ranking looked at 3,200 institutions across the nation and ranked them based on the institution’s academic prestige and perceived value, the breadth and depth of nursing programs offered, and student success, particularly on the NCLEX national licensure exam.

The nursing program at Bradley began in 1956 and it continues to grow today.  Beyond the on-campus undergraduate program, accelerated program, and graduate program, Bradley offers five online advanced degree nursing programs.  The suite of online courses includes a Master of Science in Nursing Administration (RN to MSN) and a Master of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner (BSN to MSN), along with two degrees at the doctoral level in Nursing Practice: Family Nurse Practitioner (BSN to DNP) and Leadership (MSN to DNP), and a Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate.

In February, for the first time since 2003, Bradley reported a 100% pass rate on the NCLEX exam with 78 students taking the test.  The National pass rate of NCLEX is 85% and the Illinois pass rate is 86%.  Bradley is also proud to have been selected as one of only 100 nursing programs in the nation in 2015 to host a White Coat Ceremony for sophomore nursing students.

The Great Lakes Region comprised of rankings: Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin.  Bradley is ranked 29 overall.
