Bradley’s Concerto-Aria Competition Winners in Concert

The Bradley Symphony Orchestra will present the three winners of the university’s annual concerto/aria competition in concert on Saturday, March 3 at 7:30 p.m. in the Dingeldine Music Center, located at 1417 W. Barker Ave. Tickets will be available at the door the night of the performance and are $5 for adults and free for students.

This year’s winners are Jordan Avellino (soprano), Molly Wilson (violin) and Hannah Gudeman (violin). Ms. Avellino will perform “O mio babbino caro” from Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi and “Mein Herr Marquis” from Strauss’ Die Fledermaus. Ms. Wilson will perform the first movement of Wieniaiwski’s Violin Concerto No. 2 in D Minor, Op. 22 and Ms. Gudeman the first movement of Lalo’s Symphonie Espagnole.

The program will conclude with Beethoven’s Symphony No. 2 in D Major. The BSO will be under the direction of music director Dr. Timothy Semanik. For more information about this event, contact Dr. Semanik at tsemanik@bradley.edu.
