Bradley University's Cybersecurity Day

October 15, 2018

In 2004, the Department of Homeland Security designated October as National Cybersecurity Awareness Month. In support of this initiative, Bradley University’s newly established Center for Cybersecurity is hosting its inaugural Cybersecurity Day to spread awareness in the region.

The event, happening on October 19 from 1 - 4:30 p.m. in the Neumiller Lecture of Bradley Hall, is free and open to the public. No registration is necessary. It will feature speakers from Underwriters Laboratories, Caterpillar, and CIAN. Each talk will address current and future cybersecurity issues from a different perspective. Attendees can expect to learn about vulnerabilities in various modes of transportation, steps everyone can take to protect themselves and their organizations, as well as the role of security professionals in identifying threats to cybersecurity.

Protecting the security of sensitive information is everyone’s responsibility. Attending Cybersecurity Day will increase your awareness and improve your ability to recognize and defend against the ever-evolving threats to your personal security and that of your organization.
