5th Annual FUSE Show Features Students Work

Interactive Media students from Bradley University’s Slane College of Communications and Fine Arts will headline a one-day only exhibition at the Peoria Riverfront Museum. This is the fifth annual FUSE show. It is a hands-on, interactive show that fuses art and technology, serving as a bridge between media and the community.

This interactive exhibit of work was created by students and faculty and is designed for people of all ages. FUSE brings the best of Bradley’s award-winning and globally recognized Interactive Media Department to life in a show designed to allow the public to engage with artists and developers using modern day hardware, ripe for innovation and fresh applications.

The FUSE show is a collective representation of each student’s creative interests, designs and talents, featuring collaboration among the department’s three majors: Game Design, Animation and User Interaction/User Experience. Some of this year’s must-sees include:

  • Green Screen Experience
    • See yourself placed in a virtual environment. Take center-stage, and allow your imagination to run rampant as you go wherever your mind can take you!
  • Custom-designed Compendium Reel
    • This must-see features recent work from award-winning Interactive Media students on an ongoing, high-resolution video in the Giant Screen Theater.
  • 14 Catapult Groups
    • Play, watch and interact with unique games/experiences developed, designed, programmed and engineered by the department's Catapult Groups. Three of this year's projects include work for NASA.
  • Meet & Greet
    • View the work of the artists and developers, while also talking to them about their inspiration and process.

The FUSE show is Saturday, April 28th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Peoria Riverfront Museum. This is a Free Museum Day where FUSE and all exhibits and planetarium shows will be free and open to the public.
