The Bradley Chorale and Chamber Singers, under the direction of John Jost, will present a program of British choral music on Thursday, April 30, at 7:30 p.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church, located at 1420 W. Moss Ave., in Peoria. Admission is free. An offering will be taken to help with the Chorale’s touring fund.

The program will include music by Benjamin Britten, Maurice Greene, Herbert Howells, Charles Stanford, Ralph Vaughan Williams, and Charles Wood.  Susan Klotzbach, professor of organ at Illinois Wesleyan University, will accompany on the organ.  Featured soloist in Vaughan Williams’s Five Mystical Songs will be Matthew (Adams-Wenger) Pentecost, a 2007 graduate of Bradley University who currently lives in St. Louis and sings with Union Avenue Opera, Winter Opera, Gateway Opera, the Bach Society of St. Louis, and the St. Louis Symphony Chorus.  He most recently played the title role in New Line Theatre's production of Bonnie and Clyde, for which he was nominated Best Actor in a Musical by the St. Louis Theatre Circle.
