Interim Provost Announced

Bradley University is pleased to announce today the appointment of Dr. Joan L. Sattler, Dean and Professor of the College of Education and Health Sciences, to Interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, effective June 1, 2015. With the departure of Dr. David Glassman on May 31, 2015, the Board of Trustees, the Senate President, Dr. Jobie Skaggs, and President Joanne Glasser unanimously supported this appointment.

Dean Sattler was appointed to Bradley's education faculty in 1977 and after a national search was selected inaugural Dean in 1987 of the reorganized College of Education and Health Sciences and assumes this Interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs' position with a wealth of university experience.

Also, in consultation with Dean Sattler and the Board of Trustees, Dr. Molly Cluskey, the EHS College Associate Dean for Distance Education, has been appointed Interim Dean of the College of Education and Health Sciences effective June 1, 2015. Dr. Cluskey was appointed to Bradley's nursing faculty in 1998 and served as the Assistant Dean of the College of Education and Health Sciences since 2010 and most recently has led the design and implementation of the College's graduate distance learning programs as Associate Dean for Distance Education.

These appointments are timely and critical to sustain continuing academic excellence at Bradley University.
