October 4, 2017

She's graced the studios of The Today Show, NBC and ESPN. Now, cancer survivor and world-class athlete, Teri Griege, is set to speak at Bradley on Wednesday, October 11 at 7 p.m.

Despite a devastating diagnosis of Stage IV Colon Cancer in 2009 and given a six percent chance to live, Teri has defied the odds and since competed in the Ironman World Championships, the World Championship Half IronMan and run in all six World Marathon Majors.

Teri is recognized as a leading expert on resilience and has received glowing reviews from multiple Emmy Award Winner Joe Buck and NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Troy Aikman.

Through her inspirational story, Teri has developed all-purpose tools for battling adversity that are extremely impactful. Teri is the Founder & CEO of the "Powered by Hope" Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to providing hope, strength, peace and education to cancer patients. Her foundation is predicated on H-O-P-E, which stands for How Ordinary People Endure.

Teri will also be sharing her personal story through a TED Talk this November at the Peabody Opera House in Saint Louis, MO.

Come see her inspiring testimony in Neumiller Lecture Hall located inside Bradley Hall.
