Internationally Recognized Music Performers at Bradley

Cellist Moisés Molina and pianist Po-Chuan Chiang will present a Guest Artist Recital on Wednesday, October 3 at 7:30 p.m. in the Dingeldine Music Center, located at 1417 W. Barker Avenue in Peoria. The recital is free and open to the public.

The program will include the Samuel Barber Sonata for Cello and Piano, Op. 6, Astor Piazzolla Le Grand Tango and César Franck Sonata for Cello and Piano.

Cellist Moisés Molina is an active soloist, chamber musician and clinician. Molina studied music for his bachelor's degree at Columbus State University as well as for his master's degree and doctoral degree at Florida State University. He is currently Professor of Cello and Assistant Director of the School of Music at Western Illinois University. In addition, he is the cellist for the Julstrom String Quartet, a faculty ensemble at WIU. His other accolades include multiple international performances and recordings with major record labels.

Po-Chuan Chiang is currently working as a staff accompanist at Western Illinois University. He studied music with a focus on piano performance at Tainan National University of the Arts for his bachelor's degree, at Boston Conservatory for his master's degree and at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for his doctoral degree. Dr. Chiang has experience working both nationally and internationally and with a wide variety of performers, styles and genres. This year, he will perform at Carnegie Hall and is set to release an album with violinist Yin Qian.
