Bradley University Ranked Best in Illinois

September 6, 2018

Bradley University remains one of the best institutions in the country for student engagement. For the third straight year, the university is the top-ranked Illinois school and among the top 15 in the Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education (WSJ/THE) College Rankings.

The WSJ/THE ranking, released this week, considered the views of 100,000 college students on issues related directly to their college experiences. It emphasized students’ interaction with faculty, especially collaboration on projects, challenges to think critically and whether students would recommend their school to others.

"Our vision is to be the leader in student engagement and having an outside source, such as WSJ/THE recognize Bradley in this area validates the hard work and effort we put into that vision,” said Walter Zakahi, provost and senior vice president for academic affairs. “Our students receive real-world experience and participate in experiential learning. They collaborate across curricula with faculty and staff — all to create an exceptional learning opportunity that is at the heart of the Bradley Experience."

More than 95 percent of Bradley students complete internships, co-ops, practica, faculty-led research, senior capstones or study abroad experiences.
