Bradley Receives National Society of Leadership Award

The Bradley University chapter of The National Society of Leadership and Success has received the prestigious Founder’s List award.

The Founder’s List is one of the highest honors of NSLS’s Pillar Program. It is reserved for chapters that successfully complete eight of 10 pillars. Based on the 10 best practices of a healthy chapter, the National Office developed the program to help set each chapter up for long-term success and sustainability.

“The National Society of Leadership and Success teaches students how to further develop their leadership capabilities and catapult them into a world of unhindered potential. This society has taught me more about myself and my own aptitudes than I ever could have imagined. It is wonderful to be part of a group on campus that has the same mindset and goal-driven attitude that I do, and I encourage anyone who feels this way to be part of this incredible organization,” said Ariel Casper, Bradley University Chapter President.

NSLS provides a leadership development program consisting of Orientation, Leadership Training Day, three Speaker Broadcasts, three Success Networking Team meetings, and an Induction Ceremony where students receive their Certificate of Leadership Training upon completion of the above requirements.

Shahla Akbari, Director of Chapter Support for NSLS, adds, “It takes planning, hard work, and dedication for Chapter Leaders to achieve this standard of excellence. This achievement demonstrates a very high level of commitment towards running a quality leadership program for our members.”

NSLS is the nation's largest leadership honor society. Students are selected for membership based on faculty discretion, leadership qualities, and a 2.9 or higher GPA. Candidacy is a nationally recognized achievement of honorable distinction. In addition to scholarships and awards, lifetime membership provides access to benefits including exclusive on-campus events, employer recruitment through an online job bank, discounts on computers, textbooks, grad school prep courses, insurance, and much more.
