Bradley Ranked Among Top Game Design & Animation Schools in World

March 26, 2018

For the 4th consecutive year, Bradley University is among the top 15 undergraduate game design programs in the world according to the Princeton Review's ninth annual ranking of the best schools to study game design.  Bradley's program is ranked 15th and is the highest ranked school in Illinois.
The Princeton Review chose the schools based on its 2017 survey of 150 institutions in the U.S., Canada and abroad offering game design degree programs or courses. It surveyed everything from the schools' game design academic offerings and lab facilities to their graduates’ starting salaries and career achievements.

Ethan Ham, Chairperson, Department of Interactive Media; Professor, Game Design, says one of the exciting things about having a nationally ranked program is that it attracts highly motivated and talented students and faculty from across the United States. "We have been continuing to expand and deepen our program to keep up with the student interest. Most recently, David Abzug joined our faculty as an instructor-in-residence. David brings almost 30 years of industry experience, having worked on games like Mechwarrior/Battle Tech, Crimson Skies, and Saints Row."

Students enrolled in the schools that made the lists also gain valuable professional experience while in school. According to The Princeton Review's 2017 survey of administrators, 88% of their undergrad and/or graduate game design students developed actionable plans to launch games while in school and 52% of undergrads worked on games that were shipped before they graduated.
