Symphony Orchestra Presents Concerto-Aria Competition Winners

The Bradley Symphony Orchestra will present the three winners of the university’s annual concerto/aria competition in concert on Sunday, February 19, at 3 p.m. in the Dingeldine Music Center, located at 1417 W. Barker Avenue. Admission is free for students and $5 for the general public.

The winners are Lindsay Kozlowski (viola), Alencia Norris (mezzo-soprano), and Mason Boore (trumpet). Performances include the first movement of Ernest Bloch’s Suite Hébraïque, “L’amour est un oiseau rebelle” from Bizet’s Carmen, “Behold, a virgin shall conceive…O thou that tellest good tidings to Zion” from Handel’s Messiah, the second and third movements of J.B.G. Neruda’s Concerto for Trumpet in E-flat and Strings, and Dvorak’s Czech Suite, Op. 39.  The BSO will be under the direction of Dr. Timothy Semanik.
