Bradley Receives Grant from Illinois Board of Higher Education

Bradley University received grant funding in the amount of $34,466.84 for the Illinois Cooperative Work Study Program (ICWS). The Illinois Board of Higher Education awards these funds to support new and expanded cooperative education and internship opportunities for students in areas of Education, Engineering, Mathematics, Science, Business, Nursing, Health, and Computer Information. The program is designed to enhance employer partnerships, reduce reliance on student loans, and encourage permanent employment of Illinois graduates in Illinois.

Bradley’s Smith Career Center administers the grant and is working with 20 different Peoria-area employers to offer grant-funded internship opportunities for the spring and summer 2018 semesters.
