BUPD Teams up with Peoria Chiefs for Gold Baseball Program

July 27, 2015

The Bradley University Police Department is proud to again partner with the Peoria Chiefs to highlight youngsters in Central Illinois who are doing good deeds. The BUPD along with several other agencies and organizations will hand out 750 gold plated Pete Vonachen baseballs over the next two weeks, to kids who are showing good behavior and following the law. The recipients will be able to redeem the balls for two free tickets to the August 5th Chiefs game.

BUPD Chief Brian Joschko says this is a great way for officers to get to know the youngsters in the campus neighborhood. "This is an opportunity for us to strengthen our relationships with the families in the campus area and show these kids that staying on the right side of the law is rewarding."

This is the 2nd year for the Pete Vonachen/Chiefs gold baseball night program and the 2nd year BUPD has participated.
