Steiner Symposium Draws National Names

October 8, 2018

Nearly 20 panelists from around the country are confirmed for the 4th annual Charley Steiner Symposium for Sports Communication at Bradley University. They will be on hand to discuss a variety of sports, occupations, and issues within the sporting industry. The line up includes representatives from the NBA, NFL, NCAA and MLB. They are coaches, officials, former athletes, broadcasters, writers, teachers and more all converging to share their insights on topics that impact sports today.

The event's namesake, Charley Steiner (four-time Emmy Award winner, National Radio Hall of Fame inductee, LA Dodgers play-by-play announcer and Bradley alumnus), will headline the event.

The event will take place at various locations on campus on November 15. It is open to the public and free to attend. No registration for attendees is required. For event schedule, panelist biographies and other details, visit the Steiner Symposium website.

Bradley has the first named school of its kind in the nation in the Charley Steiner School of Sports Communication. It offers numerous programs and the very best curriculum in sports broadcasting, promotions, new media, journalism and play-by-play announcing. The symposium is designed to provide students (and the community) with access to experts in the sports communication field.
