A Message from the CIO Regarding Campus WiFi

June 14, 2017

I am excited to share with you that we are about to begin the next phase of the campus network and wireless upgrade project.  By the time students return to campus this fall, GCC, Olin, Westlake, and Bradley Halls will be updated with new wireless access points providing much greater coverage and increased speeds.  Also, this summer, we will be upgrading Lovelace and Wendle residence halls delivering a much-improved experience for our students.

Upgrades on the four academic buildings will start on June 19th, beginning with Bradley and Westlake.  Crews will be working in these buildings, weekdays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. The upgrade will not affect any wired connections in your offices.  However, as we transition the wireless in each building, you may experience brief disconnections to your mobile devices.

We will be sending emails updates as the work progresses.

We encourage you to follow us on Twitter @bradleyhelpdesk for updates.  We plan to post in the morning and afternoon each day.  More information can also be found at bradley.edu/wirelessupgrade.

You can always reach out to the HelpDesk at x2964 with questions.  My office can also be contacted at x3100 if you have any comments or concerns.

I look forward to this next step in our network upgrade and appreciate everyone’s help in making it successful.  We will do everything we can to limit the impact to you and I thank you for your understanding.

Sincerely,

Zach Gorman
