Preparatory School for Youth Guitar Recital

Led by Affiliate Guitar Faculty Michael Hull, the Bradley University Preparatory School for Youth Guitar Studio Recital will highlight student talents by both ensemble and solo performances. The members of the studio, ranging from ages 6-17, are accomplished members of the Childbloom Guitar Program. They will present works by Kevin Taylor, William Lawes, Shingo Fujii and more. Saxophone Ensemble Recital

7:30 p.m. | Dingeldine Music Center
This concert will feature saxophone ensembles including saxophone majors, minors, and non-majors. There are two saxophone quartets composed of the four most common saxophone voices: soprano, alto, tenor, and baritone. There is also a quintet composed of the same four voices, plus an additional alto. The quartets specialize in original quartet works for saxophone and also some transcriptions, whereas the quintet is primarily playing transcriptions of works from a wide area of periods and composers. Guitar Ensemble Recital

The Bradley University Guitar Ensemble features the works of Shingo Fujii, Mark Anthony Cruz, Thomas Morley and more. While soloists are featured, the program is predominantly comprised of arrangements and original ensemble works from several style periods. The longstanding ensemble includes membership from the community as well as the Bradley Music Program and students of various disciplines.
