Academic Peer Mentors are available to assist students in learning study strategies and techniques to become successful learners.

My name is Lexi Dockman and I am from Mendota Heights, MN. I am majoring in Psychology with minors in Spanish, Sociology, and Women & Gender Studies. I hope to one day be a school psychologist in either an elementary school or high school. Outside of being a peer mentor, I am a member of Kappa Delta sorority and an administrative intern for Hillel. I love working with kids and every summer I am an overnight camp counselor.

Richard Groh

My name is Richard Groh and I grew in Park Ridge, IL. I am majoring in Nursing and would like to continue my education in research and community wellness education. On campus you will see me frequently studying on the quad since I love to be outdoors.

My name is Sean Morris, I am currently a junior Electrical Engineering major from Buffalo Grove, Illinois. I went to Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire and was very involved the marching and jazz bands. I love cars and fish... if that isn't a weird mix then I don't know what is!

My name is Catherine Parello, and I am a junior English Education double major from the great town of Naperville, IL. You can find me partaking in weekly shenanigans as a member of the BBQ Kitten improv troupe, hanging out at the Newman Center, or scoping out campus for dogs to pet. I'm so excited to be on the academic mentoring team this year!

My name is Jon Spray. I grew up in St. Louis, MO. I am a junior Mechanical Engineering major. I am a student trainer in Wags for Mags and I am also an active member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity. I am a big dog lover. I love watching football and my favorite show is Impractical Jokers.

An Academic Peer Mentor will be available on a drop-in or by appointment basis. Stop by the Academic Success Center in Library 320 or contact the ASC at 309-677-2416 to schedule an appointment with an Academic Peer Mentor.

Student Aides

Student Aides assist students with academic planning preparation in advance of and in addition to faculty advising. Student Aides can help students with u.Achieve degree audits, navigating the Schedule of Classes and Undergraduate Catalog, long-term planning, and creating schedule options for students to take to advising appointments.
