Learn what to expect as a first-year teacher.

Participate in roundtable discussions that relate to professional development and job search strategies from community leaders in education.

Teacher Education Mock Interviews 2014
Complete a 20 minute mock interview with a school administrator to learn about your strengths and how you can improve before the BIG interview. Employers will provide valuable feedback regarding your interview skills.

  • 5:00pm - 7:00pm (last interview starts at 6:30pm), Westlake Hall, Various Rooms
  • Seniors ONLY
  • Please wear interview attire

If you are unable to attend an event, please call to inform the Smith Career Center at (309) 677-2515 prior to 5:00pm on Monday, March 3. Any individual cancelling after March 3th will be required to follow the cancellation policy below:

If you must cancel - regardless of the reason - you will be required to meet with a Smith Career Center staff member by March 13th and submit a ready-to-mail letter of apology. This letter is to be given to the Smith Career Center's receptionist within the time frame determined by the professional staff member.
