Transfer Student Orientation Process

A Transfer Aide will be in contact with you within one month of your class registration date and time (in March if you are beginning in fall; October if you are beginning in spring) or shortly after you accept your admission offer, whichever comes later. This is a current transfer student who has successfully navigated the transition to the Hilltop and has volunteered to help you do the same.

As a new transfer student, you were eligible for priority registration, meaning that you were able to register as soon as registration opened. This ensured you had access to your first semester classes. We offered remote Transfer Registration Day programs where we assisted you in selecting your Fall 2020 classes.

Transfer Registration Days for students beginning in Fall 2020 were held remotely and have passed. If you have not registered for classes please contact the Orientation office at orietnation@fsmail.bradley.edu.

Begin Bradley, our online orientation program, uses Bradley University's course management system, Sakai, to introduce you to a wealth of vital information that you need to know in order to enjoy a successful start on the Hilltop. This online supplement will be available later in June or early July for you to review.

The College Insiders Day program takes place on Thursday, July 2nd. This event will introduce you to faculty and support staff from your college (Bradley University has five undergraduate colleges: Slane College of Communications and Fine Arts, Foster College of Business, College of Education and Health Sciences, Caterpillar College of Engineering and Technology, and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences). Because being a student whose major is in the College of Education and Health Sciences is quite different from being a student in the Caterpillar College of Engineering and Technology, we find it to be incredibly valuable for you to take advantage of this opportunity to network with the individuals who provide services and resources within each specific college. You will also have the opportunity to meet other new transfer students entering your same college.

The official Transfer Student Orientation is a Welcome Week activity created exclusively for you on Monday, August 24th. This event will equip you with everything you need to know in order to successfully navigate campus services and resources. You will begin developing a career plan with your career advisor, hear tips from current transfer students, learn about the tools and resources you are expected to know, and identify helpful contacts who can answer any questions you encounter as a Bradley student.

The B•Ready Newsletter will be sent from campus every two weeks to your Bradley email address. This is sent to you on Wednesdays bi-weekly May through July, and weekly through August. Important deadlines, information and updates will be included in each issue. You don't want to miss this important information!/p>

College Insiders Day and B•Ready Newsletter are currently only open for students who begin in the fall semester.
